Trip to Cajun Country

After traveling 2,750 miles in 3 weeks (2 separate trips with 11 days at home between), with a 3-month old and a 3-year old, we're definitely ready for a break from long trips!

I posted about our Florida trip here and here, then we headed down to Louisiana last week to visit family. We had a wonderful time introducing them to Joshua and spending time hanging out with everyone! Here are a few pictures from the long weekend.

Jenna loves her Aunt Kim.
I didn't get a picture of her with
Kim's daughter Amanda who we
stayed with on the way down to Louisiana.

Jenna had so much fun playing
with her 2nd cousin, Kalel,
and his mom Emily!

Jenna instantly bonded with Aunt Leslie's dog Firecracker.
She said Firecracker was playing hide-and-seek with her.

Jenna and Asher are about 2 weeks apart in age;
they are always so cute together.
Remember their reunion last year?

Her adorable outfit is from Aunt Bridget;
she loves it!

We're so glad Asher and his mom, Kat,
drove up from New Orleans to visit for a day!

Jenna loves spending time with Aunt Bridget too!
We went over to her house to play at her pool
which Jenna was so excited about.
She's a natural fish and loves to swim and jump in the water!

Doesn't she look so grown up here?

Randy's playing with Asher in this picture.

Here's Kalel again, with his mom Emily.

She even got to help feed Aunt Bridget's chickens!

Just in case you were wondering, Joshua did come with us.
He just didn't make it into as many pictures as Jenna. Here's a few, though.

Hanging out with Mamie (Randy's mom).

Taking a nap...notice how his arm is posed.

One of our favorite traditions when visiting
Louisiana is to go to Coffee Call for beignets,
remember?

Jenna loved sitting with all the kids at the bar area.

Kat, David, Shannon, Bridget, and Mamie.

Mamie with Asher (great-grandchild) and Jenna (grandchild).

Mamie with two more grandchildren, Seth and Toby.

Here's a shot of the whole gang--
minus a few who couldn't be there!
