We then went back to Mayfield Dairy where we saw their process for making milk and ice cream. No wonder everything made by Mayfield tastes so good!

She was so proud of the cow I bought her for a souvenir. She named it Chocolate Raspberry, curiously similar to her baby doll's name--Charlie Rachel.

The landscaping at the Visitor's Center was beautiful--the butterflies liked it too!

Although she was excited to see these big cow statues up close rather than from a distance like we do on our way home each day, she told me he wanted to see some "walking cows."

So after having our ice cream, we drove to another dairy on our way home who happens to be one of many local dairies who supply milk to Mayfield. What a treat it was to see Sweetwater Valley Farms!

We were the only ones wanting a tour at that time, so the tour guide hit the high spots for us...mainly the cows. They have 800 cows and about 5 baby cows are born each day. This is the nursery that houses all of the cows younger than 4 months.

This cow had just been born that day!

Jenna was comparing Chocolate Raspberry to the baby cow...they looked quite similar!

It was a fun, quick tour; but we'll have to go back when we can look around more and buy some cheese. We had a few samples, and they were all very good. What a beautiful day in two peaceful local towns!
