Children's Festival of Reading

Last week, I read about the Children's Festival of Reading which was held at World's Fair Park on Saturday. The opening show was Llama, Llama which was a chance to redeem myself with Jenna after arriving late to the show last month and her barely being able to see. All four of us actually were ready to leave on time and arrived there in enough time to be able to park and walk to the venue before the show started. Daddy and Jenna watched the show together, and Jenna really seemed to enjoy it.

Here's Jenna doing what she does best these days--TALKING--she's quite the chatterbox!

Anytime popcorn is involved, Jenna is happy. We're happy when it's free!

Daddy and Jenna also watched a show by a Knoxville Symphony Orchestra quartet. It was based on a new book explaining various concepts of music, which was written by the cello player. We'll definitely have to get the book when it's published next year!

There were several hands-on exhibits where the kids could play with toys, pet animals, touch plants, etc.

Jenna enjoyed posing in front of the water fountains!

The festival also included people on stilts, a parade, and horsedrawn hayrides (quite an aromatic adventure)!

Once again, Joshua was great! Doesn't he look so big all sprawled out? His 2-month check is on Thursday, so we'll see then how big he actually is. He's sleeping great at night too--slept from 9 to 4:30 last night, which was wonderful!
