Joshua's First Trip to the Zoo

We spent a few hours yesterday taking Joshua to the zoo for the first time. Of course, he slept the entire time, but the rest of us had fun!

All of the animals were either napping or
closer to the visitors than they'd ever been.
The weather was great, and I think they were enjoying it too!
This was the closest we'd ever been to the elephant!
There weren't many visitors at all--
we almost had the place to ourselves,
which Jenna really enjoyed!

It didn't take long for her to fall asleep in the car.
For some reason, in this picture she looks so grown up to me.
Yesterday, she was 3 years, 5 months old.
