Final Fortnight to Five

Jenna had very specific ideas of what she wanted to do before turning five: 1) she wanted a new haircut (one that people would notice was shorter), and 2) she wanted her ears pierced.

#1 was accomplished 2 weeks--a fortnight--before her birthday.  Her hair had gotten really long!  Our friend cut about 2 inches off, and it probably could have been even shorter.  Maybe next time.

#2 was accomplished 1 week before.  The four of us went shopping on Black Friday with my Mom & Aunt, and we decided to let her get her ears pierced while they were there to see it.  Jenna got very nervous before they pierced her ears, but afterward she said it didn't even hurt.  She can really be dramatic--maybe acting is in her future!  Here's the little princess's new ears--just minutes after the piercing.  She was so proud!

 Now that she checked those items off her list, she was definitely ready to turn five!
