I was so excited about my birthday present this year--an iphone! We’d not upgraded to smartphones yet, so when the new iphone 4S was released we ordered them, and had them delivered on the day they were released. It’s probably the only time in my life that I’ll be technologically current. We’re loving the capabilities of the phones, and like others, I don’t know how did without it for so long. Here’s a picture of the old and the new.
After the newness wore off, I’ve started allowing Jenna to play games on it. She loves it too, and is very kind to let me borrow it every once in a while. Lucky for me, I plan on taking it back at Christmas when she gets a gift that will hopefully give her the opportunity to play similar games and educational activities on HER toy rather than MY phone!
The only other thing I wanted to do for my birthday was to go to Menchie’s (my favorite frozen yogurt joint) and get a bowl of yogurt all for myself (I usually share with Jenna). I created this beautiful monochromatic Menchie’s mix and enjoyed every delicious bite for myself. Next time we go, though, I’ll be happy to share with my little girl again!
