More Dollywood

We returned to Dollywood the following weekend since we knew we weren’t going to be able to go back for a few weeks. The weather was perfect--in the upper 60s/low 70s--so we were able to comfortably wear jeans and not have to worry about bugs or sunburn. Randy and Jenna began the day with the ferris wheel, which she loved and gave a thumbs up to when she exited.

She then asked to play a game--with a guaranteed prize--so we agreed. She had fun trying to get a fish to “eat” the bait, and when she did she was able to pick her prize. She picked a pink and blue dog which she named Shaggy.

I’d been wanting to ride the big swings, and Jenna was ready to ride them with me (tandem). We waited in the short line, only to find out she’s an inch too short to ride it--even with me. She was very disappointed.

The Smoky Mountain River Rampage had no line, so Randy and Jenna hopped onto it. Again, Jenna had a blast but they both did get wet.

I played around with the camera and was able to capture some cool-looking pictures throughout the day.

Jenna enjoyed getting a picture with a princess!

This time we tried the Camp Teachittomee area which includes ropes and obstacle course areas for young kids. Jenna enjoyed the challenges!

Joshua very much enjoyed riding the carousel, and was therefore very mad when the ride ended.

We couldn’t leave the park without time in the Beaver Creek water area. Both J&J enjoyed playing again.

I rode the Dizzy Disk which was a blast--Randy will try it next time, but we ran out of time. I can’t believe we stayed until closing--however, the last hour did have short lines!

To see more pictures from the day, click here for Randy’s Facebook album. Randy adds really good captions, so be sure to read them too.
