Here's our BIG GIRL before going to school on the BIG DAY!

Mimi and Poppa drove in to help celebrate and met Randy and I at Jenna's school to pass out cupcakes. Jenna wanted Joshua to join too, so we picked him up from his class before the celebration began. She was very proud to show them around her classroom.

The kids were so wound up before the cupcakes were even distributed! I cannot imagine having the energy and patience to be a teacher to 20 four-year olds, but they do great!

Here are two of Jenna's best friends--so silly!

She's ready to go and start her birthday weekend!

We made homemade pizza for Jenna on the evening of her birthday, then opened presents from us and Mimi and Poppa. She had a great day celebrating, and was very excited for her big party the next day.

She loves her butterfly wings & princess skirt and her new Tinkerbell pajamas!

We continued her birthday celebration on Saturday by inviting 25-30 of her school friends to Jumpity Jump, a local, indoor inflatable play area. She had about 16 friends show up--plus parents and siblings, in some cases--which is way more than we could have handled at our house. Several months ago, I had come up with the idea to do a Candy Land birthday cake, and Randy encouraged me to do it for her birthday this year. Here's how it turned out:

Adults and kids alike can enjoy the slides and obstacle courses. Even Mimi joined in the fun!

After playing hard on the inflatables, we went to a separate room to open presents and eat food. Jenna enjoyed wearing her princess tiara and boa.

Joshua sported his own celebratory look with a faux hawk!

Jenna was so sweet to hug each of her friends after she opened the present they brought her.

Here's the whole gang (or at least those who made it to the end of the party):

It was such a fun weekend; everyone was sad to see Mimi and Poppa go. Thankfully, we'd see them again in just 3 weeks!
