We went to Splash Country a BUNCH of times. We always left our camera in the car so we never documented our experiences by picture, but I can assure you we all will never forget the fun we had there!
Our favorite attractions were the Big Bear Plunge (a big raft ride that all 4 of us could go on), the Downbound Float Trip (a lazy river pictured at the right above), the Mountain Waves (a wave pool pictured at the left above), and the children's play areas. We had some great family times there this summer, beating the heat while enjoying the great outdoors!
South Carolina peaches from our local fruit stand have become a welcome part of summer too. If only these could grow year-round! YUM!
Jenna had fun riding scooters and bikes this summer. Here she is posing in her get-up a few times...
She also likes putting together puzzles. Here's one she did--it's small, but has really tiny pieces. She's always been really good at figuring out puzzles.
Jenna also loves to draw pictures. Here's a compilation of just a few of the pictures I found. She's so loving, so she almost always writes "I love you" on the picture. She also draws great people--the girls always have hair bows and the boys always have "flamingo" (spiked) hair. Such a sweetie!
Joshua's love for hats grew exponentially this summer! Here he is watching a movie on my computer. I love the way he's sitting--so cute--but his hat is adorable too. Watch the progression of this hat below...
Here he is getting ready for a nap, and later sleeping. He had to wear his hat!
Notice the change in the condition of the hat? He literally wore it out!
Randy bought this hat for him, which distracted him from when we threw away his pitiful hat above. Now he has 5 or so hats that he alternates wearing depending on the outfit and the occasion. Such a fashionable child!
Joshua loves to help in the kitchen and stack containers. Daddy jumped into this picture right when I was taking it!
We all had a blast watching the summer olympics this year too, and were very disappointed when it ended!
Overall, we had a great summer as a family!
