Memorial Day

We decided to make a quick (24-hour) trip down to Atlanta for Memorial Day.  Aaron (my brother) had just finished digitizing 1,000 of my grandfather's slides from the early years of my grandparents' marriage.  He surprised him and the rest of the family with a slideshow, so we decided to make a trip to be part of the fun.  The next morning, we went to a Memorial Day Tribute where all veterans and military personnel were recognized and honored.  I'm proud to be a part of a family with several members who served in the military to protect this great nation!
Papu saluting while various patriotic songs played.
Steven's serious look
Papu stood as they recognized those who had served in the Air Force.
Joshua just wanted to play in the dirt and pet the dog.
The kids weren't too thrilled when the rifles were fired.
Joshua and I took a walk around the park.
