School Days

Jenna and Joshua have had an eventful month at school with lots of fun things going on. It started at the end of February when Joshua moved up from the Infant I to Infant II class. He was very excited to get to hang out with the big kids who walk rather than the little kids who only crawl. They also have much cooler toys in the Infant II class--his favorite being this alligator xylophone!

Jenna was very excited for her little brother too!

I went to the dentist a few weeks ago, and my hygienist gave me toothbrushes for Jenna and Joshua. Jenna was very excited about hers, which looks like a crayon, and is seen here showing it to me with her sporty outfit on. She turned over a new leaf recently and is now willingly wearing jeans and footed pajamas--both of which she hated wearing a few months ago because she didn’t think they looked like something a princess would wear. She’s still very girly--she’s just broadening her horizons, I guess.

Dr. Seuss’s birthday was earlier this month, and their school always celebrates it in style. They serve green eggs and ham for breakfast, and Cat in the Hat comes to see them. Jenna was very enamored with her, er, I mean “him.”

They told the kids Cat in the Hat was coming to visit; but, the day before, Jenna was holding out hopes for more. During their discussion of their wish list, Jenna’s wish was that Thing One and Thing Two would come also. She’s so funny!

Joshua’s class drew with chalk on kites. We were pretty impressed with his artistic ability--some kids barely made a mark on it but Joshua went to town drawing!

For St. Patty’s Day, Jenna wore her new dress made by her Mamie. They had a visit from a Leprechaun, and were served green applesauce.

We had a warm streak last week, and Jenna was able to wear a short-sleeved dress with no tights/leggings. She was very excited--and looked so cute!
