Tubes Two (Too)

We decided to go ahead and get tubes in Joshua’s ears early this month. He’d had ear infections in August, September, and October and the doctor said it was going to be a long winter if we didn’t go ahead with the surgery. Since Jenna had gotten them when she was 13 months old, we knew the drill. She had basically had a chronic ear infection for 4 months prior to her surgery, and once they were inserted, she’s only had one ear infection since then. We’re sold on their effectiveness.

Here’s a few pictures from the surgery prep; we didn’t take any pictures afterward because the anesthesia makes kids very grumpy. He got over the anesthesia very quickly and was back to his happy self after a good long nap.

Big sister joined us at the surgery center and enjoyed keeping Joshua entertained while awaiting his turn.

The nurses loved doting on him and thought he was so cute. He was moving and kicking so much, they had to take him to several machines in order to get an accurate pulse reading.
